About
I’m an AI engineer with 10+ years building production software. My work sits between AI systems and classical backend engineering for high-load services. I have also led backend design and delivery on cross-team projects.
I focus on AI systems that have to hold up in production, against real business needs, cost, reliability, and operational constraints.
I don’t write about hype cycles or “AI will replace everything” narratives. Most posts here are practical and come from things that worked, things that failed, and things that turned out trickier than expected. From time to time I also write about adjacent non-technical topics such as management, business, and markets.
Background: MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Leeds, plus a long backend track record in .NET and Python.
